Summer HAF Week 5 round-up

Another fantastic week at BCT Aspire’s Summer HAF project in conjunction with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Catalyst Stockton and Billingham Town Council.

Last week we had another visit from the amazing Samantha Durnan and Steph Hooton with more amazing music projects. Bang it, strum it and shake it all over…

The younger children had an amazing trip to The Tweddle Children’s Animal Farm in Blackhall. The farm has a fantastic range of animals: horses, donkeys, sheep & goats, rabbits, chickens. The youngster had a fantastic time petting and feeding the animals.

Our thanks to all the fantastic staff at Tweddle Children’s Animal Farm – an absolute fun day for all concerned. 🙂

The for older 11+ to 17 age group an awesome trip to the Bowlees Visitor Centre in Barnard Castle.

Their excellent staff looked after us wonderfully and showed us round Gibson’s Cave. A truly amazing place and really informative tour, waterfalls, pond dipping, toasted marshmallow sandwiches and shelter building.

And even on the days it rained there was so much to do at the BCT Hub… with Board Games, story time and a chance for some lunch 🙂

Next week will be the final one for this summer 🙁 but still loads of activities and we are planning a party on the last day 🙂

If you would like your child to get involved, make new friends, enjoy some fun activities and days out. Pop over to BCT next week from 11:00 am Tuesday – Friday.
