Paul BurgumBCT Aspire founder Paul Burgum will be once again looking to push his body and mind to the limit with his next fundraising challenge, aiming to raise funds to support the BCT youth project. Running the equivalent of over six back to back marathons, whilst running continuously for up to 50 hours without any sleep.  The course also climbs a massive 7000m which is higher than Europe’s highest mountain.

The Hardmoors 160 is a single stage 160 mile Ultra-marathon linking up the 48 mile Tabular Hills Route with the Cleveland Way. Competitors will leave the coast at the cliff tops of Scalby Mills, Scarborough to return again many miles later but first heading westwards and inland to Helmsley via beautiful moorland countryside and quant villages such as Levisham, Lockton and Hutton Le Hole. On arriving at Helmsley competitors will follow a further 110 miles of the Cleveland Way, heading back towards Teesside via Osmotherley, Roseberry Topping, before hitting the coast at Saltburn. The course will follow the coast passing through Ravenscar, Whitby, Scarborough once again and finishing in  Filey. Competitors will have 50 hours to complete the course.
