Paul Closes in on England!

Paul Burgum - Closing in on EnglandBCT Aspire’s Managing Director Paul Burgum is currently undertaking his staggering 1,100 mile Charity Walk from Monte Carlo in France, all the way to Billingham in Stockton-on-Tees. Paul aims to arrive at Chartres by the end of today and is due to arrive in Portsmouth on Monday 5th November after walking a grand total of 768.5 miles, which is where he will start his 330 mile bike ride back to Billingham.

This is in aid of ‘The Sick Children’s Trust’ who provide free accommodation close to hospitals for families; and baby Daisy Elliott who suffers from a rare brain disorder called Left Hemimegalencephaly and is in need of a massive operation. On top of this, Paul has opted to carry out this walk with no money or support crew to show the strength of human kindness that can even cross language barriers.

Paul is currently on Day 31 of his walk and has kept us all up to date of the challenges he has faced with daily tweets, pictures and blogs which help captivate the scale of his adventure which I’m sure many of you will have seen. However, as much as Paul has kept us in the loop, I’m still sure that none of us can fully relate to the amount of pain and mental endurance Paul has undertaken since his first steps in Monaco! To keep up to date with Paul’s walk, please read his blog here
