And like two previous walks which he has completed in the UK, Paul has had no support crew or cash – relying on the kindness of others or camping along the way.

Back on Teesside proud dad Mike has been keeping in touch with his son through texts and Twitter.

The 60-year-old site manager from Billingham said: “It’s absolutely marvellous what he’s doing.

“He’s already walked over 250 miles. His feet are in a bad state and are all bandaged up. He has at least another three weeks to go – I think he’ll be shattered by then.”

Now Mike is calling on people to sponsor Paul as well as follow him on Twitter to offer messages of support.

Mike is also asking anybody who thinks they may be able to provide accommodation or a meal along the way to get in touch with him on 07919 533703.

Visit www.bctaspire.org.uk for more information.

Read More http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/2012/10/20/charity-trek-in-aid-of-daisy-is-taking-its-toll-84229-32070771/#ixzz2A9p16CXi

SNAKES and sore feet will not stop this Billingham bloke from completing a nearly 800-mile walk through France.
