Merry Xmas & Happy New Year

I thought i would take the opportunity to write a christmas blog as i am aware that we so busy we have not had chance to think about the niceties of this time of the year. We have been fortunate to have not only have met some amazing people this year but also to have a massive group of people around us who deserve not only our best wishes but a massive thank you.

Amazing People

I have just come back from a meeting with all our senior team at the office, to discuss many things that are important to our organisation. The nature of the world means that cannot afford the luxury of taking time out or indulging ourselves in a christmas wind down. As usual everyone just get’s on with whatever is requested of them. I am immensley proud of everyone this weekend when we catered for close to 700 people through our catering services at four separate venues. This is a great achievement for a small company with many people working massive amounts of hours , pretty much seven days a week. I know we take little time to reflect or quite often praise each other for our efforts. This is mainly due to the volume of work meaning we are onto the next project in no time at all.

I think back to this time last year when we were fighting hard to get our catering business of the ground. Working at the Synthonia club with no staff or support in any kind. Hard work has taken forward and along the way meant we have delivered many great things for our community. These include our assistance to the Lancaster family with the building of their extension. A great many people have been integral to this project and i would like to send my sincerest thanks to all of them.

We have also continued to run our affordable music lessons every week at the Synthonia Club. It is great to see how fast the children come on and i only wish my own guitar playing came on as quickly. Further to this we have managed to formulate and pilot our own Phoenix programme which is beginning to really pay dividends in regard to the relationships we are developing with a some fantastic young people. It is great that through all our hard work we are able to run these activities and work towards long term sustainability whilst helping our own community.

To all the people who have helped and continue to help BCT Aspire i send my sincerest regards and the best for the future. Sometimes small things can help people without us ever realising what a difference we have made. This works both way’s in regards to BCT, i know we have helped people and on many occasions in very small ways. Sometimes though small things can be the catalyst for bigger change, just as it has been for us as a organisation. Lots of people will probably never realise how welcome their support has been, but can assure that i never forget any of these things. We work hard but look forward to the time we can invest the correct  amount of time and effort to properly thank all of you.

THe simplest things in life can give as much satisfaction as large expensive gifts. My own is simply a deep and heartfelt thank you to everybody in the world who has helped not only myself but BCT Aspire.

Happy Christmas and a very happy New Year
