BCT Aspire supporting the Community

BCT Aspire have been working towards the Enrichment Programme, an initiative from Stockton Borough Council and in partnership with Billingham Town Council, to provide initially 50 healthy packed lunches to designated school children in the area during the summer school holidays. Due to the success of the project, we are now delivering over 100 packed lunches.

The lunch bags are put together in the John Whitehead Park Community hub by a team including Billingham Town Council catering staff and BCT volunteers.

Packed Lunches

BCT Aspire, along with help from the Billingham community have been delivering the packed lunches since mid July, four days per week (Tuesday-Friday).

Along with this we have extended to scheme to include ‘Boredom Buster’ packs, to engage with both children and parents. The themed packs include a healthy drink and some snacks along with activities and challenges to keep them entertained. We also set up a Facebook Page so families can share their projects…
