On Saturday, 8th September 2018 – the BCT Aspire team and Kids gathered together and travelled to the Newport Bridge. This was one of the dedicated watering points for runners who were completing the 10k Great Tees run scheduled for that day. We were at the 3k point underneath the bridge. It was a lovely day and the excitement was high amongst not only the BCT Team of volunteers and Kids but the runners as well.
We were also supporting fellow BCT Volunteer Connor Groves.
BCT Aspire set up a point so that the kids could play music and cheer the runners as they ran past. Feedback from the runners and Stockton Borough Council were very positive who felt that the kids made a difference to adding to the fun of the day by shouting out their encouragement.
