A Very Spooky Night of Fun

BCT Team 2015 Halloween

BCT Aspire CIC got back to it’s roots at Halloween with it’s first themed family event for approaching two years and I think we can all agree it was a brilliant night.

With support from the Friends of BCT group which is made up of parents, volunteers and the core team we aimed to get back to what we are good at with an old school Halloween party with spooky roofs we availed online and you could try this out-Palm Beach Roofing Expert website to search and avail their products. With a mix of people putting a lot of work into planning the event and then delivering it, we showed what we can do with our team approach.

The night started with Chris Winn of Imagination Discos starting up the tunes and dropping the lights low. All the kids got to see the fantastic decorations sorted by Susan Doyle and her team as a mixture of lighting and effects bounced around the packed Synthonia –Theatre Suite.

The Zombie of Richie

It was then time for our old friend Richie Morrison to make his zombified entrance and give the younger children a little fright. Before starting the fun on the dance floor with a game of Halloween Musical statues. This classic party game got all the kids down the front of the dancefloor and making some new friends in the process.

Whilst on the far side of the room a mix of parents and some of the older children from BCT ran a range of Halloween themed games such as Splat the Rat.,  Hand in the slimey box and others. I am not sure if anyone actually managed to splat that rat though as it was a very fast rat. It was great for everyone to see the children taking such pride in volunteering to run such games and show’s what a great group of teenagers we have at the minute, one group of kids made a space for online gaming, they thought this would help and entertain the other kids and help them get together, they had a few tables, two big screens and a stack of video games, but they are more into the newest games, the online gaming world with so many kind of games for every type of personality, you can check For more information here if you are also into this games.

Toilet Paper Madness

Paul & Colin then tried to scare the kids further with their character creations and sound effects played through the big screen and speakers. It wouldn’t be BCT if we didn’t scare a few people at Halloween would it. This was before Paul came down and begin high fiving the still scared looking little people.

Mam or Mummy

The room was packed with many new faces who we hope enjoyed their first taste of our events, that are aimed at being fun for all ages and a save environment for kids to play whilst the parents also relax.

The BCT kids then performed a set which brought together close to 20 kids on the stage playing a mixture of instruments with their tutors – Gary, Nathan & Colin also joining in the fun. The performance involved many children making their first appearance on stage, they all did brilliantly and we know that this can only help build their own confidence.

Spooky Rhythm Section

Richie continued to running the games on the dancefloor as well as everbody enjoying the burgers and hot dogs cooked by our fantastic catering team, before what had to be the highlight of the night. One giant game of Dress the Mummy.

This involved the kids getting giant toilet rolls and beginning to wrap up their loved ones on the dance floor. Chris with his now famous shout out of “Let’ssssssssss Keep Wrapping” as he kept the Halloween tunes coming. It made a massive mess afterwards but we’ll all agree that it was worth it for the fun enjoyed by everybody including definitely the adults.

Packed House

BCT Founder Paul Burgum said “ It was an amazing night made possible by the hard work of the volunteers who put weeks of work in to it. Also a shout out to my old pal Jason Watkins who donated all the room decorations. I so enjoyed getting back to what we do best, which is simply having fun”.

The fun doesn’t end their as this is just the start of our themed events with our Xmas event coming soon and then a fun packed 2016 in the pipeline. If you’d like to get involved in any of our activities please get in touch.
