BCT meets Dodgy

Dodgy & Chris Helme

The children from the BCT Youth Music programme have been given the unbelievable opportunity to perform live with the massive chart selling act Dodgy with support from Chris Helme of the amazing Seahorses. The show is taking place at their acoustic show at Saltburn’s Spa Hotel. The children will perform the band’s single “This love is greater than both of us” with the band themselves at the end of the show.

BCT’s Paul Burgum said “The band have been unbelievably kind to ourselves and all the children on the programme. Making the video was such an amazing experience for everyone but this is actually dreams coming true, that’s definitely myself included“.

If you check out the links on this page you will see that the guys star in the bands official video as well as their own cover version. We want to repay Nigel, Mathew & Andy’s amazing support by packing the show and having the night of our lives. Looking to organise a bus for all families and friends as well as organising tickets.

The children all attend either BCT’s music youth club or our formal weekly lessons. This surely show’s where hard work and application can take you.
Ben Thompson 15 years old said” It’s the most amazing opportunity and i really can’t wait for it to come around”
All children who are performing will go free!
Tickets cost £15

  1. Hi BCT-Aspire,

I came along to your gig on Friday night at The Spa Hotel in Whitby and I just wanted to send my congratulations to you all for a fabuluos evening and best wishes to you all with your futures in performing arts and events. Fun was had by all who attended and it was excellent to see all your hard work pay off on stage. True professionals who I’m sure we will see and hear about more of you in the future. Teesside Talent at its best…well done guys it’s not easy getting up infront of all those people, you handled it like true musicians and myself and my boyfriend Paul were proud as punch to see young people being a positive role model to all young people across the North East.

Thanks again for a fantastic night

    Jenny Donaldson and Paul Smith
