Billingham Town Council in partnership with BCT Aspire CIC are delighted to announce the re-opening of the Cafe at John Whitehead Park for the Summer Break on Wednesday, 25th July at 5.30 pm.
Thanks to Stockton Borough Council who has given Billingham Town Council this fantastic opportunity to work with BCT Aspire CIC to bring the Café “back to life”.
It has been an aspiration of not only the Town Council & BCT Aspire but that of many many residents in Billingham that the Café re-opens and provides a great place to be for people of all ages, particularly during the summer months.
Executive Officer Dianne Rickaby said” We are absolutely delighted to be able to get this facility back up and running.
Since its closure in 2010, the Town Council has been looking at ways of being able to bring the cafe ‘back to life’, we’re excited that we have been given the opportunity to provide a much needed facility for the residents of Billingham. We look forward to working with BCT Aspire in offering both a cafe and hub for our community, bringing activities for youngsters with lots of fun times over the summer break”.
Not only will the cafe be open for refreshments! BCT Aspire will be running FREE activities for youngsters of our town throughout the holidays. This will include musical performances, lessons, sports & arts crafts plus much more. The programme will rely heavily on local volunteers who all share the same aim.
